Arne Jacobsen designed the AJ Pendant light for the SAS Royal Hotel, Copenhagen. This is the larger version (the smaller has a diameter of 37 cm) containing three light bulbs fixed above an inner shade as well as one – bigger - light ball inside the inner shade. Although the majority of light is directed downwards, the horizontal slats allow part of the light to be diffused indirectly and therefore in a more ambient way. Originally the AJ Pendant light was available in black (as the present one) or brass, brown or gray enameled finish; currently it is produced in white only.
