1967 Joe Colombo was awarded the Compasso d'Oro and with an A.I.D. International Design Award for his Spider lighting system designed in 1965. The "Spider" system utilized an innovative plastic joint allowing the horizontal spotlight to be rotated, height-adjusted and titled.
Enameled metal base with chrome-plated tubular metal stem and black enameled metal shade with melamine fitting.
